Sustainable to our Core

From the woods we source to the products we create, sustainability is one of the key drivers of our business because it's where our story began.

Unused materials from our larger projects are used for our smaller products as seen in our kitchen and gift wares
In other words, we use the cut-offs from tables and custom work to create byproducts.

Our Story actually started with sustainability…

Our Story

In 2017, David began working for Raintree Woodworking in British Columbia, making upscale dining tables for Once a Tree furniture store in Vancouver. He had free access to exotic and perfectly good cut-off woods which were being burned, so at first he took those cut-offs home to warm our own house in the winter months.

One day he came across some very expensive strips of mahogany, black walnut and king wood, which he was about to burn, and had the idea to save them and make a simple cutting board for ourselves. From that idea grew the assorted pattern of kitchenware cutting boards you see on our website; as we were only able to use the cut-off woods from his workplace that were given to us, each product we created was unique and contained various wood species.

We are located in Mission, BC and have expanded our shop to take on large kitchen remodels and custom work. We are dedicated to working with local small businesses and continue to create
fine handcrafted products from sustainable roots.

As David grew up in BC, reducing waste and celebrating nature is the foundation of our business and our personal life.
